DGM Nepal at IDA21
Dedicated Grant Mechanism for Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities (DGM Nepal) Project is delighted to be a part of International Development Association 21 (IDA21) Replenishment Meeting. On June 20, DGM Nepal project beneficiaries from Madhesh and Lumbini Provinces showcased and sold their forest-based sustainable products and handicrafts at the Living Mountain Lab, ICIMOD. The products reflect the rich culture and authenticity of Nepal’s indigenous peoples and local communities while promoting environmental sustainability.
The exhibition booths attracted visits from a number of prominent attendees, including the Minister of Forests and Environment, government officials, international delegates, and development partners. This engagement not only showcased the rich cultural and traditional products and sustainable practices of Nepal’s indigenous peoples but also provided them with a valuable platform to promote their unique products on an international stage.
IDA21 Replenishment Meeting is a high-level meeting whi ch include senior management from the World Bank Group, including the Managing Directors and Vice Presidents, as well as IDA Deputies from various IDA countries. The exhibition is a part of IDA21 which is organized by the Ministry of Finance, Government of Nepal and the World Bank Nepal.
