anakpur Foresters Society is an organization primarily comprising retired foresters and serves as a network for professionals from Dhanusha, Mahottari, Sarlahi, and Udayapur districts. The Society works to support forest employees facing various professional or personal challenges, providing assistance and coordinating resources as needed.
Given its expertise in forestry, the organization actively engages in activities related to forest management, conservation, and environmental protection. This includes initiatives such as tree planting campaigns, forest protection programs, and awareness activities.
With the support of DGM Nepal, the society has initiated a project to establish a nursery. The primary goal of this nursery is to produce and distribute saplings at affordable prices to the local community, thereby encouraging tree planting and forest restoration. By making seedlings accessible, the project aims to prevent deforestation, enhance forest productivity, and promote ecological balance. By involving local communities in tree planting, the project ensures community engagement, livelihood opportunities, and environmental stewardship, aligning with the society’s broader mission of forest conservation and sustainable resource management.
