A comprehensive three-day capacity-building training workshop on full proposal writing for competitive grants of DGM Nepal was conducted at RRN Regional Resource Centre, Dhuseri, Chitwan from 12 to 22 March 2024. The 108 shortlisted applicants from Lumbini (50) and Madhesh (58) provinces attended the training in three batches with 36 participants in each batch. The training was organized to enhance the skills of shortlisted applicants and assist them in crafting the full project proposal as per their Expression of Interest (EoIs).
The training workshop facilitated by the project management unit and project specialists, comprised interactive sessions on the technical aspects such as Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) and Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities (IPLCs) engagement, Social and environmental safeguards, Sustainable forest management, REDD+, and Climate change, Fiduciary risk and management, Business plan, Logical framework. All these technical aspects are crucial for effective project proposal development for competitive grants of DGM Nepal, thereby providing participants with practical knowledge and insights necessary for a successful full proposal writing. This training marks a significant step towards empowering the shortlisted applicants to develop impactful projects aligned with DGM Nepal objectives.
