Gyapan Ekikrit Krishi Tatha Matsya Form is an individual farming initiative located in Bariyarpati-4, Siraha. The farm focuses on tree plantation, fruit production, and fish farming, creating a sustainable model for income generation and environmental stewardship.
Currently, the farm has planted 900 trees, which are cultivated for fruit production. These trees not only provide fruit for income generation but also contribute to environmental benefits, such as improving the local microclimate, enhancing soil fertility, and supporting biodiversity. The trees are maintained in a way that utilizes land efficiently and contributes to sustainable land use.
In addition, the farm has constructed a 3 bigha pond for fish farming, integrating aquaculture with agriculture. The pond supports fish production for income, and the pond banks are utilized for planting additional trees, maximizing the use of available resources. This integrated approach ensures that land, water, and plant resources are used optimally, generating income while promoting ecological balance.
By combining tree plantation, fruit production, and fish farming, the project promotes livelihood improvement, sustainable resource management, and environmental conservation, providing a model for integrated farming practices in the region.
