From Forest Roots to Policy Tables: Indigenous Youth Mobilize for REDD+ and Climate Action

National Conference Concludes in Okhaldhunga

DGM Nepal successfully organized a National Conference on Climate Justice and Sustainable Livelihoods for Indigenous youth, bringing together participants from all seven provinces.
Key outcomes included:
Policy dialogue on climate justice, REDD+, and sustainable forest management (SFM)
Launch of the “Indigenous Youth Climate Justice Declaration”, reflecting collective youth priorities
Strengthened inter-provincial youth coordination and leadership for climate action
This event marked a major step in promoting youth leadership, inclusive policy advocacy, and IPLC engagement in REDD+ and climate governance in Nepal.

📅 यसका लागि अगामी १५–२० दिनभित्र प्रस्ताव तयार गर्ने तालिम कार्यक्रम आयोजना गरिनेछ।

 

✅ प्रत्येक छनोटमा परेको संस्थाबाट १ जना प्रतिनिधि (जहाँसम्म सकिन्छ महिला वा युवा) लाई तालिममा सहभागी गराउन अनुरोध छ।
